The new and exciting Maritime Museum and Buckler’s Hard Story give an insight into the history of this 18th century shipbuilding village focusing on its vessels including those built for Nelson's Navy. You can take a 30 minute river cruise(available between Easter and the end of October) as an optional extra.
Saltgrass Lane, Milford on Sea, Hampshire
A great place for a walk and to take in some Solent air. Spectacular views of the Solent and Isle Of Wight, particularly the Needles. A relaxing walk around Hurst Castle Museum will take around an hour. If you don't fancy the walk along the spit, there is a short ferry crossing to the museum from Keyhaven. This is an excellent venue for viewing yachting during Cowes Week (first week of August).

This is an integral part of the New Forest Centre and is a must-see place if this is your first trip to the National Park!
